In this video we have some of the greatest MMA fighters talking about the early days of MMA and what it is now and where it is going. Of course Royce said something that is true... Some karate professionals, notably the more extrovert types, may lack the exciting setting, the sharing of expertise, the communicating that they will see in the fitness centre, despite these states satisfied.

In many of the instances, what you can perform at house is improvise an area or merely a large part of a chamber, for fitness. In any case, all of the times you must train on your own. As these are the most common scenarios, we will cope together now. Anyway, it's preferable to get continuous training in the home, instead of interrupt it a lot as the gymnasium is extremely active, too much, overly pricey, etc.
A short video of Shaolin monks training in China. In this video you will see some of the different techniques they use today to train their students at the monastery.Latimoreheahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13871693020577173319noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-428827894176216867.post-52135713386676196992014-01-07T12:29:00.000-08:002014-01-07T12:29:00.380-08:0018 Movements of Shaolin Kong Fu

These are the basic 18 movements as taught by the instructor Shi Deyang who is from the Shaolin temple. We are very lucky to have him put this on video for us so that we can train just how they train at the monastery.Latimoreheahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13871693020577173319noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-428827894176216867.post-84174425821870228462014-01-06T10:38:00.001-08:002014-01-06T10:38:31.530-08:00Ninja TimeSo me and my boy were thinking about heading out and having fun at a renaissance fair. We did not want to go as any of the normal characters so we thought it might be cool to go as ninja's!

So the question for that is where do we get authentic ninja gear and clothing? Well my son did some reseacrh and he decided we should go to this online store since it had authentic gear: http://www.realninjagear.com/

Now we just need to think about the shoes. Should we wear regular sneakers or the traditional tabbi. I think we should wear traditional split toe tabbi since this is suppose to be authentic.

We are authenticating all of our stuff based on the ninja wikepedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja. I want to make sure everything is as authentic as possible.Latimoreheahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13871693020577173319noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-428827894176216867.post-63508104895933386942013-12-29T12:26:00.000-08:002013-12-29T12:26:00.573-08:00Kung Fu TV Series, Devil's Champion

When watching the Kung Fu TV series I always enjoyed the dream states when he went back to China and was at the Shoalin Monastery. In this episode they spend almost the entire episode with him back in China before he came to the US.Latimoreheahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13871693020577173319noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-428827894176216867.post-67217389569863327062013-12-14T12:43:00.003-08:002013-12-14T12:44:21.554-08:00Son Getting Reading For His Black Belt TestNot sure how but my son is training for his black belt. He has been training in KungFu for some time now - about 5 years and he is determined to earn that belt. He should be testing in about 2 months.

He started training when he was 13 years old. We started in Kung Fu San Soo with a local instructor but now he is training with the Grandmaster. In this style you have to wait until you are 16 or 18 to earn your black belt.

When he is done testing I want to have a plaque with all of his belts hanging up on the wall in the living room. Something like these here:

However I wont have the flags on the top I want to have his name engraved. Found a great place to order from: http://www.karatebeltholders.com/displays/belt-displays/ Looks like it will only cost about $30 with shipping. Even if it were to cost more I wouldn't mind as this is a one in a lifetime event. There is another kind I am considering though (you can check it out here). It has a more elaborate design and looks rather nice but I am not sure if I can spend the money on that one as it is close to $100.

Hopefully my son passes his test or this is all a moot point! LOL!
I personally like to use all kinds of equipment. From stretching gear to focus mitts to specialty weapons.

And with my kung fu training I have special things I love to use to increase my training. Some of the kung fu gear I use:

1. The uniform:

2. Swords and straight swords:

These are just two of the essential items I use when training in kung fu. You may ask why do I need the sword. That is because I feel it allows me to open up when I am doing my forms. Which helps increase my big movement of my hand strikes.

I first learned about kung fu from a friend of mine. He had been training in kung fu San Soo from one of the youngest Masters named Steve Gregoire. Once I met this instructor I had to learn this system.
So this blog will be dedicated to everything kung fu!Latimoreheahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13871693020577173319noreply@blogger.com0
